Myth: Therapy is only for people with severe mental problems.

Most People need to enter therapy at some point in their lives. Seeeking help is a sign of good mental health because it demonstrates a willingness for growth.

Myth: Therapy is too expensive.

Costs for therapy vary widely, as does the length of treatment. While treatment plans are formed on a case by case basis, I specialize in intensive, short-term work. This can minimize the overall expense of therapy.

Myth: Therapy is unnecessary if you have family and friends.

Talking only to family and friends can be problematic. A good therapist has the training and experience to help solve your most difficult problems without blame, bias, or shame.
